One of the larger parts of my journey to finding a new me has been around this book, The Hands Free Life by Rachel Stafford. I have listened to this books on audible 3-4 times and now once again. Every time I listen to it I get something more from it! It is a book about overcoming distractions ( not just technology) living better and loving more. Not only do I need to work on being a hands free technology mom but just letting go of the expectations I have for myself that are unrealistic. After a great conversation the other day with my good friend Erik I realized I usually set myself up for failure every morning by making these plans and to do list items that were unrealistic and then by the end of the day feel like a huge failure when I didn't achieve them. I am grateful for great friends, good books and Gods grace! Now I am trying to implement realistic goals and to do list items but not only that I am trying to have days that I don't have a to do list or agenda. For this type A Momma this is hard! Yesterday I got one of these days with the kiddos! We packed a picnic from camp and headed off to Mill Hollow for an afternoon of just fishing. I was present, aware and just relished in the moment with my fast growing babies. I had a hands free moment! I hope that each of you can have a hands free moment today and everyday! As always thanks for following and supporting my journey to finding a new me!
